Belly Dancing (8 Jan 2000) |
|
After the ski resort, we headed for dinner at a Moroccan restaurant. This place was recommended by my friend Alvin. A set dinner consisting 7 dishes cost $27 ++. It was up to me to decide whether to go to the restaurant called Casablanca or to the infamous fast food restaurant called Hooters. Casablanca or Hooters? Hmm... Tough decision. The former serves Moroccan food with live entertainment (Belly Dancing) and the later is famous for its Buffalo Wings with short tank top and ultra short shorts waitresses. I opted for Casablanca coz I wanted to try Moroccan food. Really! While we were there, the Belly Dancer dance twice and patrons can show their appreciation of this ancient art by contributing $1 notes onto her bikini bottom at the waist. Patrons are also encourage to join in and dance with her to the amusement of his or her friends who are obviously laughing hard. None of our gang of 7 dares to join in. Too chicken knowing full-well that it’s going to appear on this page of mine. To their defense, all of them are married except for me. As you can see below, she is a little on the heavy side but that is a requirement. You can’t do a belly dance if you don’t have a belly. I thought she was rather talented with her movement of her hips and the perfect timing of the clappers she holds in her hands. Food are mainly chicken, beef and lamb. Some of the dishes I find kinda hard to swallow coz they are too sweet. Well, I like to try new food so this is a change from the ordinary. Wished I could go to Hooters as well. I heard their Buffalo Wings are legendary. So are their thighs and breast.
