Empire State Building

Please note that this page has 3 photos in it and will only take a little over 1 minute to download so please be patient. There will be no thumbnails on this page. So while you are waiting for the all the pictures to come out, why not take your time to read what I have written below.

Empire State Building, also once the highest building in the world. It’s amazing that this building was actually build in 1931. From the street outside, you can’t see the top of the building because the top towers up like a church. It’s truly a sky scrapper because you can actually see the building touches the clouds on a cold and cloudy day. The moment you enter, you can sense that this is an old building. The queue to go up is longer than the World Trade Center because the elevators are smaller. There is a balcony observatory all around the 86th floor. As usual, the souvenir shops and food stalls are all there as well. You can then queue again to go up to the 102nd floor where there is another smaller indoor observatory. Nothing special there so I don’t think it’s worth queuing for. The best time to go up is before sundown so you can see the sunset. After which you can see New York city lights up like a Christmas tree. I observe that at any point in time, there are about 10 planes flying all over the place. Busy city huh?

Impressive first view. This was my first picture taken of New York.

It’s so high up that the color is dimmer from the closer buildings.
