American Museum of Natural History |
|
This place is huge. 4 levels of stuff animals, dinosaur bones, early human artifacts and geological materials. I walked rather quickly for 4 hours to cover what I could. But really, if you have the time, try to spend the whole day there. This is a museum of natural history. That means it only focus on nature things like animals both living and extinct, early human civilizations in different part of the world and history of the planet earth in a geological perspective. It also concentrates on evolutions of humans and all creatures. I even saw the giant squid (about 25 feet long) that was caught in New Zealand in 1997. This is the only one of its kind in the world. And then there is “Lucy”, the missing link that explains the evolution of human beings that is probably ten’s of thousands of years old. This is the biggest museum I have ever come across.
