Firstly, let me express my sincere gratitude to my good friend Kong Leong, his wife Michelle, Choo Kien and his wife Shireen for enduring my presence in their dear home for the entire 2 weeks. $13 to get from JFK airport to NYC. What a rip-off. But it’s only a third as much as an even bigger rip-off; the $38 departure tax!

With this $17 card, I can travel in all the MTA buses (except the Express) and subway within 1 week. Good deal considering that each bus ride cost $1.50.
