Ski Resort (8 Jan 2000) |
|
Next, after Intercourse was to a small ski resort so we can see and touch some snow. We had no intention to ski due to the time constraint and some lack of accident insurance. So since we are not going to ski, we decided to go to a ski resort that is not too far. We got to this small ski resort called Bear Creek which seem to house some very rude staff. They would shout at you like you a private in a boot camp should you try to walk up the hill, which was what I tried to do. “How did you get up here?” I was expecting him to tell me to get down and give him 20 push-ups. Man, this guys was rude. I guess he thinks he can boss people around coz his job is secure and doesn’t need any extra customers. As I walk down, he took the trouble to take the snow mobile and meet me halfway just to tell me to get down. Damn! If I am halfway down already, where the hell does he think I am heading. Either this guy has a problem or he has nothing better to do. Maybe him having nothing better to do has something to do with the fact that he is so bloody rude to the customers. I wouldn’t go back and I definitely tells everyone not to go there anymore coz of the hostility I encountered. Plus this resort is so small anyway. And it is a pain to find it as it is kinda remote. Just a small tiny road leading to the resort on the other side of the hill that you can’t see if you are driving. Better spend your hard earn money at places where they treat you like a human being. Anyway, this place at this time of the year doesn’t even have any natural snow. It has to be created artificially from these machines that looks like jet engine. It sprays tiny droplets of water into the air and coz of the cold and dry weather, it turns into snow. This small ski resort has very limited facilities and ski slopes.
